Ben Winston has years of experience and a natural eye for photographing models, rock bands and special events. Ben pursued his love for journalistic photography and writing in becoming the editorial director and event photographer for Toronto based, MAX Magazine as well as becoming the official photographer for Hardcore Sports Radio on Sirius Satellite (Channel 98) and Elite Sports Tours, covering live sporting events and photographing the "on-air" talent for their website and promotional material.
With the experience he gained, Ben began photographing aspiring models for their personal portfolios and agencies. He then branched out into Toronto's local rock band circuit as a professional photographer eventually covering headlining performances of Canadian sensations, Hedley and Faber Drive, "Rock Star INXS" finalist, Suzie McNeil, Canadian Idol winner, Brian Melo, and Playboy TV's exclusive rock band, Wank Punter, to name a few. During this time he engaged in freelance work for Hooters Restaurant (Canada) photographing "Hooters Girl of the Month" winners along with special events and pageants. Ben has also had his photographs published in numerous publications including, Wank Punter's debut CD sleeve, Genesis Magazine and the Toronto Sun newspaper.
Every subject has a story to be told through pictures and words which present increasing emotional value over time. Ben Winston has the eye, experience and unobtrusive professionalism to artistically capture the moments of every subject he photographs.
